10 most annoying gestures during a job interview.

  • Not making eye contact, but make sure you keep eye contact; it's said that the most annoying thing for an interviewer is when interviewees look around everywhere, but fail to make eye contact.
  • A weak handshake. You want the job, right? Then show that by putting all your energy into that handshake. Not too hard though, you don't want to pull their arm out of their socket!
  • Not asking questions at the end. It's almost guaranteed that at the end of the interview you'll be asked if you have any questions; always have some prepared. An interview is a two way process and the interviewer loves answering your questions, it's their job, make sure you use them!
  • Talking too much or too little. You have to keep a balance in between; they are not counting how many words are coming out of your mouth, but just make sure it's a sensible amount.
  • Criticising your old boss. This gives a very bad first impression, something you don't want! Also, your old boss might know the interviewer, then you'll definitely be in trouble.
  • Turning up late without letting them know. Your car has broken down, fair enough, you must make sure you've picked up the phone and given them a call to let them know you'll be a bit late.
  • Leaving your phone on loud. Make sure your phone is either switched off or on silent!
  • If you are actually sick, reschedule the interview; don't turn up and give the interviewer a cold!
  • Never turn up to an interview drunk or hungover. Common sense really.
  • Don't play with your phone or anything else under the table! Keep your hands on the table, occasionally moving them for gestures, etc.

one of the traditional food is kookoo

KooKoo is a persian food. Iranians make many different types of kookoos with a variety of flavorings. It is a frequently vegetarian dish, made with eggs which then are folded in with various ingredients. it cooks for a shorter amount of time, over a low heat, before turned over or grilled briefly to set the top layer. For the typical kuku-ye sabzi recipe, the eggs and herbs are mixed and seasoned with salt, black pepper, sometime barberries, sometimes baking powder and turmeric.

the mixture is then poured into a preheated oiled pan, covered and cooked over low heat until set, Some cooks saute the herbs briefly before adding the eggs. The amount of herb ingredients usually greatly exceeds the amount of eggs, which merely serve to hold the kookoo together, making the predominant flavor that of the herbs rather than that of a typical "egg omelette. and barberries are a favorite garnish for on top. It is often sliced and served hot or cold with bread or rice, Kuku can be a main dish or an appetizer. we use kookoo as traditional meal consumed for nuroz.

culture shock

Culture shock is the personal confusing and many feel unfamiliar due immigration or a visit a new country, a move between social environments, or simply travel to another type of life. Some of the most common causes of culture shock in a foreign country is; Honeymoon, emptiness, acceptance.
Honeymoon; during this period, the differences between the old and new culture are seen in a romantic way. For example, in moving to a new country, usually might love the new food and the locals' habits. During the first few weeks, most people are happy by the new culture. Like most honeymoon periods, this stage eventually ends.
Emptiness; After some time usually around three or four months, differences between the old and new culture become very clear and may create anxiety. Language, stark differences in public hygiene, traffic safety, food accessibility and quality of life, now a day I am exactly in this situation and always I compare my situation in may own  country and Canada.
Acceptance; slow by slow people are beginning to accept the situation of themselves, I think acceptance of the new culture is not so easy for me.

Dear Mina
I want to explain Canadian work culture in Canada; One of the most exciting and interesting parts about working in Canada, is that you are likely to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Although diversity is respected and encouraged in Canada.
Canadian’s are very team worker in the workplace, and you will often see “teamwork” as a desired skill in job postings. How to demonstrate teamwork in the workplace:
They treat everyone with respect - Greet someone working in an entry level position with the same courtesy and enthusiasm as you would an Executive Director.
Show interest in people’s work, interests and achievements
Offer support when you see a coworker under stress or falling behind. This demonstrates teamwork, and the person might return the help when you need it down the road!
Every workplace will have really different expectations and policies regarding clothing. In general, when you start anew job, it is best to dress more formally and conservatively that you think is necessary while you learn more about the workplace culture and expectations.
